Bens January Fixture Ease

I hope you all had a good Christmas and a happy new tier (year)….

Finally, another 5 transfers dropped on Friday the 1stof January.

We had the Champions/Europa league draw last month, and some juicy games to come, but that does not kick off until February so we can forget that for now.

The FA cup 3rd and 4th rounds run through January and we also have the Carabao cup semi finals to look forward to this month.

Manchester City (8-9 fixtures)

Man City have the best fixtures this month for me. Along with Man United their have the most- (8 fixtures with a possible 9th). I will be looking at getting a lot of City players in this month but be careful because at the time of writing there has been 5 positives for COVID-19 in the squad, Walker and Jesus have been confirmed as two of them and the other three are suspected to be Ederson, Torres and Doyle.

GW15 Chelsea (A) Sun 3rd

Man Utd (A) Wed 6th (Carabao cup SF)

GW16 Birmingham (H) Sun 10th(FA cup 3rd)

Brighton (H) Wed 13th

West Brom (A) Tues 26th

GW19 Sheff. Utd (H) Sat 30th

Burnley (A) Tues 2nd Feb

Manchester United (8-9)

Are Man United back in the title race??

United have lots of games this month 8, possibly 9 games if they beat Watford in the FA cup 3rd round….

Definitely lots of options here too, Maguire, AWB, Martial, Rashford and the main man Bruno Fernandes.

GW15 Aston Villa (H) Fri 1st

Man City (H) Wed 6th (CC SF)

GW16 Watford (H) Sat 9th (FA 3rd)

Tottenham Hotspur (7-8)

Spurs have an extra game guaranteed this month with the Carabao cup semi final against Brentford and a possible FA cup fourth round tie if they beat Marine….

Son and Kane are the main men to be looking at again and I will be looking at defenders too, Lloris, Alderweireld and Dier like we mentioned on the last podcast.

Liverpool (6-7)

The Reds have decent fixtures but only play twice in the first two game weeks in January, while Man City, Man United and Spurs play four times.

Liverpool have a tricky FA cup 3rd round at Villa Park too.

Brighton (H) Wed 3rd Feb

Chelsea (6-7)

The Blues go into January with only 1 win in 5 and 3 defeats.

Chelsea has a nice run of fixtures after the game against Man City on Sunday.

And I imagine Chelsea will thrash Morcambe in the 3rdround of the FA cup, so the Blues have 7 fixtures this month.

Pulisic and Ziyech are the men to watch this month with both of them coming back from injuries.

GW16 Morcambe (H) Sun 10th(FA 3rd)

Arsenal (6-7)

The Gunners walk into a lovely run of fixtures after 2 successive wins against Chelsea and Brighton, respectively.

Arsenal defenders are now on the watchlist (Bellerin, Leno, Holding and Tierney)

And surely Aubameyang is going to go off on a goal run this month after a very poor season so far…

And a shout out to Saka and Lacazette who has 3 goals in 3 games.

Leicester City (6-7)

The Foxes have been on a good run of late and are third in the Premier League.

Leicester have a tough run of games this month, but you never know what side of the Foxes are going to turn up…

GW15 Newcastle (A) Sun 3rd

GW16 Stoke (A) Sat 9th(FA 3rd)

GW17 Southampton (H) Sat 16th

  Everton (A) Wed 27th

GW19 Leeds (H) Sun 31st

 Fulham (A) Tues 2nd Feb

Aston Villa (7-8)

The Villa actually have a chance of 8 games this month, but they have to beat Liverpool in the 3rd round of the FA cup first. They have the hardest run of fixtures through until Mid-February, I will be avoiding defensive players here.

GW15 Man Utd (A) Fri 1st

GW16 Liverpool (H) Fri 8th (FA 3rd)

Tottenham (H) Wed 13th

GW17 Everton (H) Sat 16th

GW18 (FA cup 4th) w/e 23rd

Burnley (A) Wed 27th

GW19 Southampton (A) Sat 30th

West Ham (H) Tues 2nd Feb

A quick shout out to Leeds, West Ham, Everton, Wolves and Southampton who have decent run of attacking fixtures… (6-7 fixtures)

I will be looking at Bamford, Raphinha, Soucek, Sigurdsson, Calvert-Lewin, Neto and Ings to name a few….

Good luck everyone!
